Trova una superficie solida, stabile e piana e parcheggia la moto sul cavalletto laterale.
Se stai rimuovendo una ruota, allenta il dado dell'asse prima di sollevare la moto.
Metti la moto in prima marcia per bloccare la ruota posteriore e prevenire il rotolamento.
Usa la cinghia in velcro doppia fornita per bloccare la leva del freno anteriore.
Per maggiore sicurezza, posiziona pietre, tronchi, sabbia o altri oggetti solidi davanti e dietro alla ruota.
Sul cavalletto laterale, la moto si inclina da un lato. Posizionati dal lato opposto quando usi il Trail Jack.
Assicurati che il terreno possa sostenere il cric. In caso contrario, evita che il piede affondi (ad esempio, usando una base solida).
Seleziona un punto solido e sicuro sulla moto:
Ruota posteriore: forcellone posteriore
Ruota anteriore: vicino alla parte anteriore del motore
Un tubo del telaio o un foro nella piastra paracoppa che si adatti al forcellone funziona bene.
Assicurati che il punto scelto sia stabile e non possa scivolare.
Nota: Prova questo a casa prima di partire. Potrebbe essere necessario forare un foro da 13 mm nella piastra paracoppa per adattare il supporto a Y.
Non usare i poggiapiedi a meno che non sei sicuro che siano fissati. La maggior parte sono articolati e possono piegarsi inaspettatamente, causando la caduta della moto.
Posiziona il cric verticalmente con il piede a terra vicino al punto di sollevamento per stimare la lunghezza necessaria.
L’obiettivo:
La ruota è appena sollevata da terra
Il cric è il più verticale possibile
Troppo angolo = instabilità.
Non sollevare più del necessario.
Premi la clip a pulsante e ruota leggermente il tubo interno per farlo scorrere liberamente senza bloccarlo in ogni foro.
Una volta trovata l’altezza corretta, lascialo agganciare.
Come linea guida, il cric dovrebbe essere circa 5–7 cm più alto del punto di sollevamento.
Posiziona la forcella sotto il punto di sollevamento. Il cric si posizionerà naturalmente con un leggero angolo.
Tieni il tubo inferiore con una mano e spingi delicatamente la moto sul cavalletto laterale con l’altra finché il cric non scivola in posizione.
Cerca di mantenere il cric il più verticale possibile. La ruota dovrebbe essere appena sollevata da terra, non troppo alta.
Se l’angolo è troppo ripido o l’altezza non è corretta, riposiziona la moto e regola la lunghezza del cric.
Ci vuole pratica—provalo a casa prima di affidarti a questo metodo sul campo.
Prima di lavorare sulla moto, verifica la stabilità.
Muovi delicatamente la moto mentre resti pronto a spostarti se necessario.
Procedi solo quando sei sicuro che la configurazione sia stabile.
Mantieni tutte le parti pulite e libere da sabbia, fango o detriti. I tubi si adattano strettamente e lo sporco può impedire un funzionamento fluido.
Puoi risciacquare i tubi con acqua (ad esempio, da un CamelBak).
Rimuovere il piede nero e il tubo interno con la clip a pulsante prima di risciacquare.

Handy! I was able to lift my Tenere 700 wheels (one at a time) onto the side stand with one hand and slide this into place. It looked precarious, but I rocked it back forth and it was solid. Easily lubed the chain, and I don’t anticipate having trouble removing wheels for flat repair. I don’t recommend using it in gravel since it could slide out, but it dug into grass and held firm. Cheaper and (obviously) lighter than a center stand.
Very nice finish and it seems to do it's job. Haven't had to use it in the field (and I suppose everyone should hope they don't have to), but I expect it to work. I do have some concerns about the bigger than expected gap between inner and outer tube, I thought it would have been a tighter fit, but given the extensive experience around the world, it must be ok.

You mentioned being concerned about the size difference between the outer tube and the inner tube, but it does not cause any issues whatsoever and that’s actually by design. For one, it keeps the trail jack much more affordable since we can use standard size tubes instead of machining them, which would double the cost at minimum.
There’s also a practical reason: when you’re out on the trail and you drop the trail jack in the sand or dirt, having that bit of extra space means that sand or dirt grains won’t get stuck and cause issues when you’re trying to fit the parts together. Hope that helps clarify everything.

Awesome trailstand, very packable. I have a great use of this stand and works great for my KTM 890R. I store it in my Mosko Pinner tool roll. If the trailstand tuben were 1cm shorter it would be a perfect fit, but not sure how that would impact on lifting different bikes. /Braap&Camp

And you are right, shortening the Trail Jack would impact lifting certain bikes. Especially, lifting the front wheel on Enduro bikes.

I tested the trailstand during an morocco trip for 3 weeks and am very happy with the part. Easy to use, simple and stable funktion.
Used the stand with an loaded tenere world raid, stand is stable also within sand if u use a little stone etc. Light and simple to pack.
A nice improvement would be to have a place to put the splint during transport. The lower hose could be used to put or clamp the splint inside if its long onepugh.
I strapped it with the break strap onto the trailstand.

So I purchased my Rolling Mavericks trail Jack to be part of my Every Day Carry kit for my Dual Sport.
I was a little put off with the shipping and lack of tracing provided. I wasn’t able to get any updates past that it arrived in Canada. It was about 2 weeks after that my parcel had arrived.
The shipping box was destroyed, however the contents were intact and complete. There was no packing within the box either.
The fact it came from the Netherlands and arrived after 5 weeks was acceptable. As stated before better tracking would be beneficial.
The Stand/jack seems to function as intended and hopefully I’ll never have a use for it!
