These six-piece high-quality, Japanese-made Asahi LIGHTOOL 12-point combination box-open wrenches are a must-have for any rider who wants to minimize tool weight. You save about 30 percent in weight. They are made of chrome vanadium forged steel and meet the Japanese Industry Standard (JIS).

The smaller sizes of these Asahi LIGHTOOL lightweight open-end wrenches up to 14 mm are a great alternative to the expensive titanium Motion Pro TiProlight combination wrenches at a fraction of the price. This set, however, also includes larger sizes up to 19 mm.

Lightweight tooling versatility
The weight savings compared to regular steel wrenches are about 30 percent.

This six-piece set of Asahi LIGHTTOOL wrenches includes larger 17 x 19 and 22 x 24 mm wrenches, yet the entire set only weighs 505 grams, including the tool roll.

Size matters
If you have a Euro motorbike, extra wrench sizes such as the 12 and 14 mm are used sparingly, but they sometimes come in handy. For example, RAM ball mounts U-Bolts come with an 11 mm nut, and if you ride with the Tubliss system, you need a 14 mm wrench for the Tubliss rim lock nut.

    Als ich den 14er mal etwas belastete verbog er doch viel zu schnell. (Für mich) Unbrauchbar als Notwerkzeug am Motorrad.

    Hi Frank, thanks for your review. It is unfortunate that your wrench bent. It is the first time I’ve heard of one bending in more than 4 years of selling these. These wrenches are made according to strict JIS standards and exceed the torque specs of M10 bolts (Japanese 14mm hex) by a good margin. However, if you have a seized nut exceeding the torque specs and put your foot or an extension on the wrench and , it will break, like any tool. But perhaps yours had a manufacturing defect.

    An M10 bolt's maximum tightening torque depends on its bolt grade and whether the threads are clean and dry or lubricated. For high-strength Grade 10.9 bolts, the maximum torque can range from around 57 to 82 Nm (42 to 60 ft-lbs), while lower-strength Grade 8.8 bolts are torqued to approximately 37-57 Nm (27-42 ft-lbs).

    I am curious to know why you did not contact me first before writing this review.
